On my quest to a finding new ways to mix up healthy foods from classics I love, I took it upon myself to alter an old favorite... spaghetti. This is a really great twist, and you can reduce the calories by eating less, but this is a really fulfilling meal, and it's under 500 calories.

You can use any meats you'd like, but i suggest staying away from red meats. Trader Joe's has an amazing selection of chicken sausages that you can use to inspire all sorts of deviations from my recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
1/8 package Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti
2 pieces sliced Crimini Mushrooms
1 cup chopped Zucchini
1 link Sun Dried Tomato-Basil Chicken Sausage
3 sliced Mini Sweet Peppers
1/2 cup Tomato Basil Marinara

I like to pull out an additional serving measured out for myself before I put the leftovers away for the kids, I store it in the marinara jar, this way I have an already measured out lunch for the next day that I can eat for lunch.

All the ingredients from this meal are from Trader Joe's. The pasta is a steal at $1.35 for a bag of organic whole wheat noodles!
